I really don’t know how anyone that spends much time in the kitchen coped before the simple magic that is a hand blender arrived.
on Amazon, or read on for more information…
I know, it is a simple tool that most of us take for granted. But break it, and one day soon you will be lost without it!
Our first hand blender review is for the best-selling Cuisinart CSB-76 SmartStick. Available in a range of colors, from simple, sleek and stylish brushed chrome, to slightly more adventurous pink and turquoise, there are a few reasons that this is such a popular blender.
Cusinart CSB-76 Low Price Hand Blenders
No it isn’t the cheapest hand blender out there. But for a brand that is well trusted it is one of the more economical ones, priced at between $24 and $30 depending on what color you go for. Now that might lead you to think that this would be a puny little blender. In fact though you get 200 watts of blending power. Now that might not sort out really crunchy stuff (ice might be a problem), but it will blend most of the things you want to. Cooked, soft things that really need a good mixing up without making your arms sore is what this little beauty is for.
Cuisinart CSB-76 SmartStick Reviews
You check out all the customer reviews of the SmartStick from Cuisinart via the links above. With hundreds of customers having written their response to this kitchen gadget already, and a great 4.5 stars out of a possible 5, it is safe to say that it is a decent little device to have to hand.
But, there are one or two unhappy customers out there. On the whole this seems to be associated with it not performing well when given too much to deal with. A hand blender is not a food processor, and it won’t perform well if given too much hard stuff to deal with. If you could spend an age mashing something with a fork, you can do it quickly instead with a hand blender. If you couldn’t get anywhere blending by hand you need something altogether more powerful!
This is key for all small kitchen appliances. Know what they are really capable of and they should perform well for you.
Cuisinart CSB-76 SmartStick – Key Features
Well, what do you need to know? This is an economical hand blender that uses 200 watts to blend what you want, in whatever container you want. If you want to blend up a nice soup, it is far easier to do it in the pan you cooked it in, rather than creating more washing up for yourself! There is a rather small plastic beaker included which might do fine for small sauces or baby meals, but isn’t going to hold anything too substantial.
The stainless steel blade shaft and beaker are dishwasher safe. The business end with the motor and handle will need a quick wipe down after use, but please don’t put it in the dishwasher!
All in all, if a hand blender is what you want, the Cuisinart CSB 76 SmartStick will serve you well. Just remember it might be good but it does have its limitations! Oh, and of course, rather importantly for those that like me, what their shiny kitchens to be beacons of style as well as creativity, yes it does look good too!
